
This year, the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic proudly takes center stage as the official host of the Gravel State Championships, elevating an already legendary weekend of racing to new heights. Riders from across the region will converge in Durango to compete for state titles on the rugged, high-altitude gravel roads of Southwest Colorado — a true test of strength, strategy, and grit. With stunning mountain scenery, challenging terrain, and the unmatched energy of Iron Horse weekend, the Gravel State Championships promise to deliver an unforgettable showdown where the best gravel athletes prove themselves on one of Colorado’s most iconic stages.
This beautiful tour of the Durango Gravel Race will not disappoint in all lengths. With the 55 mile course, you will get 4,985 feet of climbing. There will be several aid stations for each ride. Please review and download the GPX files for a more detailed course description as well as to ride the course ride day. .
Cross bikes, mountain bikes, and road bikes with 700 x 33c or larger tires are sufficient for the course.

If you register on or before May 1st you will receive your bib number in the mail. If you are a local rider (zip codes 81301, 81302, 81303, 81122), International rider, or registered after May 1st, you will pick up your bib number at Buckley Park located at 1250 Main Avenue, Durango from 1pm to 7pm on Friday May 23rd.
$10 of your entry fee is donated to numerous community organizations.

If the event is cancelled due to inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances, there will be no reimbursement, rollover, or postponement unless otherwise noted when completing online registration for the event.
Number plates MUST be attached to your seat post. Numbers must be visible on the course at all times.
