It's back! In case you did not know it, The IHBC knows a thing or two about Mountain Bike Racing (1990 Worlds/14 National Championships/2001 World Cup) and we are hitting the dirt for another year!

Oh yeah, the Pros ride through a Steamworks beer pub as part of the course!  It Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mountain Bike race sponsored by Mountain Bike Specialists. A multi-lap course originating from Downtown Durango that will challenge all abilites. Lap length is approximately 7 miles with flowing singletrack, steep climbs, and fast downhills.

Mountain Bike Specialists Mountain Bike Race: Need to know information: Sunday May 26, 2013

-The start line will be located just east of the intersection of East 2nd Avenue and 9th Street in Downtown Durango. Finish will be just west of Intersection on 9th Street. Category start times are posted on website and subject to slight variations. Be at start/finish area 30 minutes before scheduled start time.

- Parking is available throughout downtown, and in neighborhoods surrounding event. Keep in mind Church Services are in session on during the morning MTB Categories and most Durango Churches are within blocks of the finish.

- Riders will be staged along east side of Criterium on East 2nd Avenue, in front of Bank of Colorado Drive up Building. Start times are posted on our website and subject to change up until May 25.

- It is a lap style course that has a combination of pavement, dual track, and single track. There will also be man made features in the course. (see map on website ) It is a unique course that should provide plenty spectator interaction, amazing scenery, challenging terrain, all within walking distance of Downtown Durango. You will also cross an overpass in the downtown area.

- Course will be marked (with exception of paved areas) on May 25. Course alterations may take place due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances.

- Riders can also receive feed zone support (not provided by event) along 9th street between 4th and 5th Avenue going eastbound. Being self sufficient with food/water/tools is best solution.

- When on course please be aware of the possibility of people entering the trails as the course is restricted but not closed. This holds true for the pavement sections also, keep your head up and looking out for your safety.

- There will be a 15 minute protest period after each race. Results will be posted near stage at 9th Street and Main Avenue. If you miss the protest period the results cannot be changed.

- There will be Course Marshall’s on the course in 12 different locations as well as Emergency Medical Personnel in area. If you see an injured rider, or an issue with the course please alert a Marshall.

- If you have to drop out of race please alert the Officials at the Start/Finish, we do not want to have a search party out looking for you if there is not a need.
